By road

Via A38 Exeter to Plymouth;

From the M5 (Jnct 31) follow the A38 towards Plymouth after 19 miles turn left onto the A384 to Totnes. On entering Totnes, turn right at the first set of traffic lights onto the A381 to Dartmouth and Kingsbridge. Follow this for 6 miles to Halwell and turn left onto the A3122 to Dartmouth. Follow the road into Dartmouth and the river will be visible at the bottom of the hill. Follow the road around so the river is on your left and the park on your right. At the end of the park, turn right and you will immediately see The Ship in Dock Inn. Approximate travel time from Jnct 31 of the M5 is 50 minutes.

By River

After entering the River Dart, continue up river for approximately one mile after passing the fuel barge on the right, the Ship in Dock Inn will come into view on the left. The outer pontoon in front of the Inn has visitor moorings at the upstream end. There are seasonal visitor dinghy moorings on the walk on pontoon directly in front of the inn.

By Air

Dartmouth can be accessed from Exeter and Plymouth airports. They both have good UK and European access, with Flybe being the prime operator at Exeter and Air Southwest at Plymouth.

By Rail

Totnes station is on the main London to Cornwall line and is well serviced by First Great Western and Cross country trains.
